Arkabutla Road Closed for Pipe Replacements

Parts of Arkabutla Road will be CLOSED in sections over the next two and a half weeks (July 7-24) for pipe replacements. Road closure will extend initially from Stage Road to Doc Woody.  Other closures will be posted as additional sections are closed. This work is being done in preparation for asphalt overlay beginning in 2027.

County Offices Closed Friday July 3

All Tate County offices will be closed Friday, July 3 for Independence Day. The Tate County landfill will be closed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday July 3-5. All county offices and the landfill will reopen Monday, July 6. Meanwhile, Tate County Fire, Ambulance, Sheriff's Office and 911 Dispatch will be open as usual 24 hours each day. Please do your best to let them have a peaceful holiday weekend.

Paving on Hogfoot Road and Brownlee Road Begins Wednesday July 1

Tate County Road Crews will be paving on Hogfoot Road and Brownlee Road Wednesday, July 1 and Thursday July 2. Expect slow downs and drive with care.

Brush Clearing Arkabutla Area June 15-19

Tate County crews will be clearing roadside brush beginning Monday, June 15 through Friday, June 19. Some of the areas included are Arkabutla Road from Post Office Road to Highway 3, Bend Road, Bundrum Road, and other nearby roads. Be alert for workers and machinery and be prepared to stop for short periods if you are driving in those areas.

SBA and FEMA Disaster Assistance Still Available

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and  and the Small Business Administration (SBA) have a joint disaster recovery assistance office at the Enterprise Center in Batesville. This office will be open until June 13. Hours are 8am to 6pm, Monday through Friday, 8am to 2 pm Saturday. Tate County Offices Closed Memorial Day

All Tate County offices will be CLOSED Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day. There will be no garbage pickup Monday May 25. Garbage service will resume Tuesday and run one day behind for the rest of the week.
