Since beginning the garbage collection routes this morning we’ve had two trucks get stuck and one damaged.

In the interests of driver safety, we are going to park the trucks and return to our regular collection schedule Monday, February 9.

In the meantime, we are placing containers for HOUSEHOLD WASTE at eight locations around the county. Most are already in place as of 1:30 Wednesday, February 4. These are for household garbage only. Please don’t load them with old furniture, building materials, or other rubbish.

• Two containers as 18670 Hwy 4 E
• Two containers at 9164 Arkabutla Rd
• Two containers at Strayhorn High School behind the football field
• Two containers at Independence High School
• One container at Wyatte Fire Department
• One container at Greenleaf Fire Department
• Two containers at Prime gravel pit 3978 Tig Scott Rd off Hwy 306
